ANDACAL Micah's Gabrielle is sired by our herdsire MMALP Micah. Micah has not sired a lot of crias, but in all that he has sired the fleeces have had outstanding organization with an amazing, advanced lock structure. Four-time banner winner and full Peruvian Micah is an outstanding grandson of the great herdsire Pucara Kahuna. Micah's sire's dam LCA Elana comes from great genetics and also has quite the show record herself winning 4 banners and placing first at The Futurity. Elana was sired by Grand Marnier, a MacGyver son, and a two-time banner winner. Putting Kahuna and Elana together produced Kahuna's Casper, Micah's sire. Casper won a total of 10 banners in his show career, a Judge's Choice, and a first place at the AOBA National Fleece Show. The bottom half of Micah's pedigree is nice too. His dam Synergy's Duchess is a Sierra Bonita's MacGyver's Synergy daughter and while she was never shown herself, her sire Synergy has produced a multitude of champions. So, it's a definite that the top half of Gabrielle's pedigree is loaded with championship and prepotent genetics.
Gabrielle's dam, Black Beau's Ariana, also brings superb luster, a great phenotype, and outstanding fleece characteristics to the pairing with Micah. Ariana has great EPDs from top to bottom, but especially for fineness and uniformity. She has had Top 1% EPD ranking for AFD, SF and MSL. In addition to those, she has top 25% or better for all the other EPDs. Ariana comes by that fineness through her dam Lianka as she is from a fine micron lineage of alpacas that start with the herdsires Sedoso on top and Huacho on the bottom. Lianka herself has Top 2% EPD rankings for AFD, SF, and %>30. From her full name one can tell that Ariana is sired by Black Beau of PVA who is from that great dark lineage. Black Beau is also known for producing fineness and that is understandable considering Ariana's rankings are better than her dam. Overall, this means that Gabrielle inherited great fleece characteristics from both the top and the bottom of her pedigree.
It's no wonder with the great genetics found in her pedigree that Gabrielle always had great potential. She has a great Suri phenotype with great fleece coverage from her ears to her toes. She has a great Suri head style. Her fleece is fine, dense, lustrous, and organized. She inherited the good size of her sire, and we feel she will be an outstanding production female. She was not only a banner winner, but also was awarded Judge's Choice at the 2022 GWAS halter show.
Gabrielle had her first cria on 8/4/23. It was a 21 lb male sired by Zoltar and he shows a lot of promise. He has both a gorgeous fleece and phenotype. We feel he should be a future herdsire for someone. Gabby had a 17.6 lb light fawn female cria sired by Whistling Pines Vontae Mack on 9/7/2024. We co-own this girl with Whistling Pines Ranch as part of the deal to get her bred to Vontae Mack. She is gorgeous and we are looking forward to watching her mature.
