WILKIN'S BLACK ROCK

Wilkin's Black Rock was sired by GLR Bronson. Bronson is a black male that is co-owned by Wilkins Livestock Ranch and Halo Ranch Alpacas. We boarded Bronson here in the summer of 2020 for Wilkins Livestock and bred their female for them to get Black Rock. He was also born here and subsequently we acquired Black Rock via a business transaction. So, the sire Bronson was a 6 time banner winner including 2 banners at The Futurity and 1 at the AOA National Halter Show. Bronson was sired by the black herdsire Cinders, the 2 time Dark Herdsire of the Year and 1 time Reserve Dark Hersire of the Year at The Futurity. There is another Herdsire of the Year in Bronson's pedigree as his dam GLR Black Pearls was sired by the black herdsire Shavano who also won the award. Yes, Bronson's pedigree is just full of prepotent genetics because besides Cinders and Shavano you'll also find Jackpot, MacGyver, Miguel, and Rockstar in his pedigree. Looking at all that we believe Black Rock has a great chance to be a prepotent herdsire too!

That's especially true when one also considers the bottom of Black Rock's pedigree. His dam SPAR's Ni-Coal is a daughter of Coal Man and he has a number of Get of Sire wins to his name. Not only do you have the prepotent genetics found in Ni-Coal's sire, but you also have her mother who was the granddaughter of MacGyver. Yes, Ni-Coal is a Coal Man daughter and a MacGyver granddaughter. And all MacGyver did was win Herdsire Of The Year an astounding 7 times at The Futurity. One can also see a good dose of Uribe in the bottom of Ni-Coal's pedigree. It's no wonder that Ni-Coal produced the 2017 AOA Black National Champion Male MMALP Bojack's Black Midnight, Black Rock's half brother.

So, the sire of Black Rock is both a Futurity and AOA National Champion black male and Black Rock's dam produced an AOA National Champion black male. With sire and dam of Black Rock being black Suris, it's no wonder that Black Rock is a very blue black male born with very little, if any, brown tipping.
