Tormenta Rojo De ANDACAL (Rojo) was sired by WI Challenger. Challenger is a son of the outstanding herdsire Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar. Goldstar has 20 Get of Sire winners to his name including 3 at Nationals, 3 at The Futurity, and 1 at the Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show. WI Challenger is full brother to BRKRD Goldstar's Jet. Jet has passed away, but he produced champions. He sired the 2018 AOA Nationals Light Male Supreme Champion, Jet's Dominion, and has 4 Get of Sire wins himself, including 1 at Nationals and 1 at The Futurity. Challenger was not shown as much as his brother Jet and he is just starting to have offspring hit the ground. Challenger's pedigree is loaded with the names of many great herdsires besides Goldstar. The names include Torbio, Rockstar, Jackpot, Ramilo, Major Jax, Baron, Saber, Bruxo, MacGyver, and Uribe. Wow! He's a genetic powerhouse and of course, it is not just the males in his pedigree as there are many championship females in it, too.
Rojo's dam Dulce Rosa De ANDACAL brings great grey genetics to his pedigree. Rosa's dam Delaney was the daughter of the great harlequin grey herdsire Condor and her dam Delaney was also a harlequin grey herself. You will find Condor in the pedigrees of many a champion Suri and they aren't necessarily greys. Rosa's sire is the great classic silver grey herdsire Peruvian Silver Heat. Heat won 4 banners in the show ring, but what he is most known for is the great offspring he has sired. He was the first grey herdsire to ever win The Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year in 2011. He currently has right at 80 registered offspring in the ARI registry and a lot of those offspring are producing additional great silver grey offspring themselves and so on. We have heard it said that he is like the MacGyver of grey Suri alpacas as you will find his name quite often in the pedigrees of champion grey Suris. He is definitely a prepotent grey.
So, Rojo has champion genetics from top to bottom and they are genetics that have been shown to be very prepotent. He's developing into a mini version of his sire Challenger. He has similar coloring to Challenger, the same great Suri phenotype that you find in Challenger, and his fleece has the same great density, luster, and organization found in Challenger's fleece. He shows all signs that he will be a great future herdsire like his sire or his full uncle Goldstar's Jet. On top of that, he has those great grey genetics and could possibly sire grey. We look forward to showing him in the future! Let us know if you're interested in adding him to your herd.
