Kamira has science on her side with excellent results in her histogram. 23.8 microns AFD with a good standard deviation of 5.1 microns. It also shows great regrowth, good weight, and solid mean curvature in her fleece. She has very good and in some regards exceptional EPD rankings and those can be seen in the 4th picture. Kamira definitely has the genetics on her side, too. Kamira is out of dam Pucara Mischa's Belle and Black Beau of PVA. Mischa's sire is Pucara Kahuna. She and her full sister Chocolat are two females in our herd with the strongest pedigrees. Kobe, Diamonte, Black Beau and Kahuna are herdsires with such great legacies based upon the crias they've sired. We can't wait to put those genetics to use and see the great results. And the results are in as Kamira surprised us with a cria that was about 4 and a half weeks early on Feb. 27, 2017. The female cria still weighed 14.2 lbs even though it was that early and Kamira is a great mom and after two weeks the cria has gained over 6 lbs. We named her Dumble's White Majik of ANDACAL. The sire for this cria was Torbio's Dumbledore and he and Kamira did great as Majik is covered from head to toes with a beautiful, fine fleece that has great lock organization. Her fleece is really special and one of her shearings was awarded the Cottage Fleece White Championship at the Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show in 2020. After that 2017 cria, we sold Kamira to Joe Miller. In 2019 Kamira had a beige girl sired by HPR Alaskan Gold and she is really nice. She has great fineness to her fleece, exemplary luster in that fleece, and the fleece has an extraordinarily slick handle. In fact that offspring's fleece was reserve champion to our Zoltar's fleece at the 2021 Carolina fleece show and also won best luster. We repurchased Kamira along with that cria in 2019. We did not breed Kamira in 2019 and she ended up not getting bred in 2020. We have bred her to Bold Ruler for a cria due in 2022 and the pregnancy has been confirmed by ultrasound. Bold Ruler"s skin biopsy shows he has a density of 68.9 follicles per sq mm, a secondary AFD to primary AFD spread of only 3.9 microns with the secondary AFD being 17.7 microns, and that all of the sizes of his primary fibers fall within in the range of the sizes of his secondary fibers. He also has outstanding EPDs. The only offspring we have had that was sired by him earned an advanced fleece award at the Suri Network show in 2020. This Bold Ruler x Kamira breeding should produce a cria with an outstanding fleece along with a really nice Suri phenotype!
