PRICED TO SELL! Don't let the price fool you. With the genetics in her pedigree, the cria that's due this year, and her & the service sire's fleece stats, she is worth a lot more than this. We just need to move some females to make room for 2020 crias. Also, we have too many foundation females and we desperately need to reduce our number of them.
Arielle has produced well for us. She gave us the male Torbio's Dumbledore out of Chesnimitz and El Principe Jorge De Torbio out of USA Peruvian Jaguar. Both Dumbledore and George had identical 4.7 microns as their standard deviations of average fiber diameter when tested in 2016. Those are good SDs. So, it was no surprise when we did EPD testing on Arielle in 2016 it came back with a high ranking for producing progeny with improved standard deviations of average fiber diameter. She was ranked in the top 5%. Her other EPDs are very good and can be seen in the 3rd picture.
Arielle's 2012 offspring, Dumbledore, was EPD tested this year, too. He ranks in the top 5% for AFD, top 4% for SDAFD, top 4% for SF, and top 4% for %>30 microns. The 2013 son had a different sire and different strengths, but still ranked well for SDAFD, the top 15%. Jaguar, his sire, isn't fine fleeced and George's other strengths were top 8% for MSL and top 5% for FW. Those are Jaguar strengths.
As a production female, crias produced are a primary concern. On her own, Arielles's fleece numbers have been solid. A histogram at age 1 was 22 microns AFD with a 4.1 microns SDAFD. Age 8 it's 28.3 and 5.0 respectively.
Arielle is a great mother! She has big and strong crias. George weighed 19.6 lbs. at birth. She's very attentive of her crias. She has a lot of milk. Her crias have put on weight quickly and have been quite healthy. We have decided to breed Arielle to our herdsire Comet for a cria due in early September of 2020. It is not confirmed by ultrasound, but she has spit off numerous times.
