FRESH PRINCE'S BLACK ONYX

Onyx has a great combination of dark colored genetics in his pedigree and a lot of those genetics are exceptional black Suri genetics. These are black Suri genetics not found in a lot of herds. He is sired by Fresh Prince, the 2012 Nationals Black Color Champion. Fresh Prince was sired by the two time Nationals banner winner SBS Crown Prince. Crown Prince has 15 Get of Sire wins to his name and is a prepotent male that produces champions. Fresh Prince's dam was sired by the outstanding Cantano of Peru.

Onyx's dam is RKR Hexagon. She was sired by Suri Peak's Coal Man and Coal Man is known for siring champions as he is a 5 time Get of Sire winner. Hexagon's dam Patagonia's Ain't Misbehavin was the 2006 Nationals Black Female Color Champion. So, Onyx was sired by a Black National Champion and produced by the daughter of a Black National Champion. Onyx definitely has champion black genetics! AND as stated earlier, they are unique.

Onyx has great conformation and fits the Suri phenotype extremely well. In addition to that, Onyx has a wonderful fleece. It is fine, nicely locked, and lustrous. His sire Fresh Prince still had grade 1 fleece at the age of 3 years and that is phenomenal for a black Suri male. We believe that is a testament to the SBS Crown Prince genetics found in Fresh Prince because we have another light fawn Crown Prince son that still has grade 1 fleece at the age of 5! These are genetics that maintain fineness as the alpaca ages. Hexagon, his dam, has respectable fleece stats for a black female as she had an AFD of 26.4 at age 3 and an AFD of 27.4 at age 5.
