Hermione just had her first cria in the fall of 2014, Black Beau's Comet. He's an awesome medium to dark brown male with coverage from head to toe. Hermione's dam Lianka comes from a line of very fine fiber and Hermione looks like she will continue to produce it as well. Comet has earned nothing but first place in 4 shows in the Fall of 2015 and a couple of banners. Time will only tell if Hermione will be the great production female that we think she will continue to be.

Her sire, Saladin, is also known for his awesome fiber and the regal way he carries himself. Hermione has the desired fineness, luster, and good lock structure throughout her fleece. By using the breeding we were supposed to get when we purchased another female from Miller-McMahan Alpacas, we have worked it out to have Black Beau (he's closed to outside stud service) sire another cria with Hermione and we are expecting the same kind of great results in 2016. Keep an eye out for that one!!

Update: Hermione passed away in December of 2015. We are devastated by the loss of so much potential for our herd and the loss of a beautiful girl with a good disposition that was part of our first purchase to start our herd in 2012. :-( It was confirmed by ultrasound last summer that she was carrying what would have been another Black Beau cria making this an even more sad situation. Rest In Peace Hermione.

We are willing to do financing. We may also be willing to offer a discount for a cash purchase or a credit card purchase. If the purchase of an alpaca is financed, no interest will be charged if paid off in 1 year. Stud fees must be paid for in advance. Transport of a purchased alpaca to the buyer's farm is the buyer's responsibility unless some other agreed upon arrangement is made.
