Jet's Shiver was sired BRKRD Goldstar's Jet. Jet is a son of the outstanding herdsire Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar. Goldstar has 20 Get of Sire winners to his name including 3 at Nationals, 3 at The Futurity, and 1 at the Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show. I am sure 7 time banner winner Jet was a part of a few of those Goldstar Get of Sire wins. With Jet's excellent EPD rankings, his density of 66.96 follicles/sq mm, his great S/P ratio of 11.6 to 1, and a good S to P spread of only 7.3 microns, Jet is producing champion offspring himself now. He sired the 2018 AOA Nationals Light Male Supreme Champion, Jet's Dominion, and has 4 Get of Sire wins himself, including 1 at Nationals and 1 at The Futurity. Jet's pedigree is loaded with the names of many great herdsires besides Goldstar. The names include Torbio, Rockstar, Jackpot, Ramilo, Major Jax, Baron, Saber, Bruxo, MacGyver, and Uribe. Wow! He's a genetic powerhouse and of course, it is not just the males in his pedigree as there are many championship females in it, too.
Shiver's dam Georgianna doesn't have quite the pedigree as Jet, but she does bring nice attributes to the pairing with him. Georgianna is a full Bolivian female out of two imports and was born in 2001.She had a nice handle to her fleece and it had good luster. She has produced a grey offspring every time she has been bred to a grey male with 6 grey offspring out of 11. Overall she has average EPDs. She is a female of good size and stature. Shiver's good size is more like her dam and is most likely due to Georgianna's genetics. Georgianna was an excellent mother to her 11 crias and always had plenty of milk. Her offspring have shown well and one of her grey offspring was a banner winner.
Shiver ended up with a nice complementary set of attributes from her sire and dam. While it is most likely she was as nice as she is because of her sire Jet, she did get some physical attributes from her dam and those will most likely help her birth crias. We feel Shiver has the potential to be an outstanding production female. We have bred her to Abe and see if we can get the production for grey by her just like her dam.
