Sashay is 1/2 Accoyo and a good sized, strong boned lady, built for production. She has wonderful conformation, beautiful luster, a fine handle, and density, density, density! She gave us 5 lbs of prime blanket fleece. Sashay is out of Nimue and SMA Bolivar, our full Accoyo herdsire. The combination was excellent! She is very mellow and a pleasure to be around! We decided to keep Sashay as part of our foundation herd because we were so impressed with her conformation, lock & truly outstanding ...

Lacy is proven and had a cria when she was 2 in 2011. Her previous owners slowed down their breeding program, she was not bred by them again, and then they decided to retire from the alpaca business in 2016. We purchased her on a retirement sale in August of 2016. We were excited to have her. She is a large framed and solid boned female with great conformation and great EPDs. Her EPDs predict she will produce crias with improved average fiber dieter and uniformity. She was our first top 1% EPD female. Unfortunately, we have tried for a year and a half to get her bred and have not had any luck.

Lacy is definitely not as fine as she was when she was 2 years old. She now most likely has either grade 4 fleece give or take 1 grade. Her fleece is lustrous as the description below from her previous owners states and she still has the great locks in her fleece that won Best Suri Lock at ABR Fall Fest 2010.

This is a business, we are currently having to board our herd, and we are thinking about culling her to reduce expenses. We really don’t want to do that because she is a Suri with a great demeanor that will eat feed from your hand. So, we are willing to sell her as a breeder at a fleece alpaca price. Maybe a new owner can figure out what needs to be done to get her bred. She has the kind of EPDs to advance the Suri breed and we hope someone is successful in having that happen. If not, you will have a very small investment in her. Hopefully, that will allow you to feel it’s worth having her as a fleece alpaca if that is all she turns out to be.

Previous owners description... Lacy Diamond sparkles like her name! Her white is VERY white, with just a dab of beige on her head. She is absolutely like silk to touch and with very fine, elegant locks & outstanding luster. At age 2 her micron was a grade 2 at 20.8 with a SD of 3.9. She is ranked in the top 1% of EPDs for SDAFD (see pictures). If you're breeding for fineness with a great hand, Lacy is the one for you!

Her lineage comes from Accoyo Uribe on her dams side and Accoyo Abel on her sires side! Her dam, Sashay Sunshine, has excellent fiber, shearing 5 lbs of exquisit blanket her 1st year. Her sire is Sundance at the Cabin, a Color Champion & part Accoyo. Lacy has color on both sires sides and both have proven they can pass it on. I think Lacy will have that potential as well. She was a great mother with her one cria and he looked like he had excellent potential.
